Flipped Podcast #13: Jason Ryan


Welcome to Episode 13 of Flipped with CG animation director, animator and teacher, Jason Ryan.


Jason is a multi-talented Irish animator whose career has spanned the last 20 years on such films as Fantasia 2000, Chicken Little, Meet the Robinsons, Kung Fu Panda 2, The Croods and most recently Big Hero Six (to name a few). 

Alongside to his film work Jason also teaches animation online through his own site and iAnimate which I can personally recommend as a great way to learn character animation and productive workflow through traditionally-based methods, mentor-supported training sessions and clearly explained online tutorials. Flipped Podcast #12: Damien O’Connor























Welcome to Episode 12 of Flipped.  This podcast features Megan's interview with Damien O'Connor - editor, storyboard artist, episodic director at Brown Bag  and film-maker.

Damien has written and directed 5 short films -  'Mutt', 'Ledog', IFTA nominated 'Dick Terrapin', 'After You' and most recently the beautiful short, 'Anya' which was made in association with 'To Russia with Love' to promote not only their cause but also the positive outcomes of their work so far.

Damien has also worked as an editor on Noddy, Olivia the Pig and the Emmy nominated Octonauts. He was Retakes Supervisor on Doc McStuffins for Disney and currently works for the Oscar nominated Brown Bag film studios in Dublin

Flipped Podcast #11: Aidan Hickey

Welcome to Episode 11 of Flipped with Aidan Hickey - animator, writer, director, teacher and painter. 

Aidan began working in animation in the mid-seventies for RTE and his works forms the bedrock of the Irish animation industry.  He had made several award-winning short films, written and produced many hours of children's television and also written several feature length projects. Until recently served as Ireland's representative on the European animation body, Cartoon.
